From rumba to reggae! As their slogan says, that was exactly what our good friends of Rumbeggae gave us in their most recent presentation in the Central American Nights at Rock Salt.
That is what we enjoyed in a very diverse night with great music, top environment and the unique Latin flavor for fun and parties.
And what else could we expect with two different stages at the maximum capacity? The first was filled with high revolutions music, with the new tropical and Afro-caribbean rhythms mixed by DJ Magico. At several moments during the evening, people felt they were walking through the lands of Central America, remembering the good songs of the region, full of rhythm and energy. Punta, merengue, soca, cumbia and of course the latest reggaeton, all present on the dance floor, turned the centro-american heat on.
On the other stage the bohemian lovers of the classic and timeless oldies but goodies were enjoying all the well known themes that Rumbeggae played during the whole night. “Popurri Cubano”, “Se me perdio la Cartera”, “Dos Tesoros” and “Mas que Playa”, were the songs of their most recent production that made everybody dance. Of course, requests from the public went on and on, and the band was there to accommodate them. Romantic salsa, merengue and rich cumbia, among others, accompanied the dancer as he enjoyed the live music and as experienced different sensations of admiration for the talent exuded by a band recognized throughout the Puget Sound.
“It is a pleasing occasion to come to enjoy Rumbeggae’s music... I always go to their presentations...”; and “we like to go dance where there is good atmosphere, but this time it was great with the live music of Rumbeggae!” were some of the comments made by the people present in the club and by this orchestra’s fans; an orchestra that is gathering force in promoting their latest production, “Lo que Tenemos”. This production brings together songs for everybody and every age. Old School Salsa, Merengue with a lot of flavor, and original compositions from their recent work was the selection that the dancers enjoyed. The CD aims to attract and maintain the public's interest in tropical music, rising in acceptance again, Jorge, the band’s bass player told us.
Returning to the night at Rocksalt, the option of changing scenarios and atmospheres was made easy by the fact that only a few steps separated the two floors. In the end, what we observed was the good atmosphere and the tropical heat created by the mixing magic of DJ Magico and the musical versatility of Rumbeggae.
All this my friends is what every weekend offers around Seattle and along the Puget Sound, where day by day, the Latin movement along with its music, the people, the culture and the sabor keeps growing. So, let’s continue visiting our Latin hot spots and supporting the great regional talent present.
Well Salsafans, we look forward to finding more destinations, pleasant moments and lots of pictures in Seattle and the Puget Sound regions. Meanwhile, the invitation is out to keep enjoying Rumbeggae, the Central American Nights at Rock Salt and the Salsa movement.
Salsaludos!
